  All you need is a slab of clay, a cutting tool, a rolling pin and a little imagination.

With a rolled out slab and some moist coil, you can fashion yourself a little candleholder. 

 

Bottom slab pieces

 
           
   Keeping your clay moist, pinching the pieces together on the inside as you proceed.   Curled coil piece  
           
  Joining the coil to the Slab When finished joining your pieces, secure loose areas inside the pot with wet clay.   Pinching inside pot  
           
 

Top coil piece

After your pot dries, in one or two days, carefully sponge away the rough areas.    Sponging dried pot
