Before working with clay, my primary
mediums were pencil, pointillism and watercolor. My mother
has always been a great inspiration and we were always trying new
crafts, taking silver jewelry and basket weaving among
other classes at the Shelburne craft school in Shelburne,VT.
When I was a young mom at home, a good friend gave me a pair of clay earrings and suggested that might be a fun small business for me. Ever since, I’ve enjoyed creating one of a kind wearable clay art and ornaments, selling my pieces at craft shows, boutiques, and gift shops. I'm a resident of Center Tuftonboro NH, and a member of the Wolfeboro League of N.H. Craftsmen. Since 2003, I’ve been a student of potter and naturalist Sally Cornwell, learning sculpture, hand building and throwing techniques. Every summer I manage the pottery program at Merrowvista Education Center. My clay creations are available in my Clayworksnh Etsy shop. My pendants are also available at The Guest House, a Creative Studio in Meredith NH, and coming soon to All Beads Considered in Exeter NH. To me, there’s nothing more exciting than creating with clay! I hope you will enjoy my products as much as I enjoy making them. Lisa Boucher |
